Stellar sea lion - British Columbia, Canada (2016)
An inquisitive Stellar sea lion greets me in the waters of the Salish Sea off Vancouver Island. Although being swarmed by these massive animals was slightly unnerving as they nipped at by equipment and tugged at my hood like playful puppies, it was an incredible experience to observe and interact with them. I was in awe as I watched them dart effortlessly though the water, bending and twisting with such agility and grace.
