Paradise
Mount Rainier National Park, Washington (2012)
Regarding Mount Rainier's grand flower-filled, subalpine meadows, renowned naturalist John Muir once stated, "Every one of these parks, great and small, is a garden filled knee-deep with fresh, lovely flowers of every hue, the most luxuriant and the most extravagantly beautiful of all the alpine gardens I ever beheld in all my mountain-top wanderings."
In late summer, the subalpine meadows around the Paradise area of Mount Rainier erupt with vibrant, kaleidoscopic displays of wildflowers. On this August morning, a lenticular cloud hovers atop the Rainier's peak as the first rays of light flood the meadow, revealing the vibrant purple Subalpine Lupine and red Indian Paintbrush.
Limited edition of two hundred and fifty
