Havasu Falls - Havasupai Reservation, Grand Canyon, Arizona (2017)
Deep within the Grand Canyon, a true wonder of nature winds it’s way through the ancient rock to it’s confluence with the Colorado River. Havasu Creek’s aquamarine color comes from the high concentration of dissolved calcium carbonate present in the water. The Havasupai people have made this hidden oasis their home for more than 800 years. In the Havasupai language, Havasu means “blue-green water” and pai “people”.
